JABALPUR, India, Jan. 27 -- Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment/order on Jan. 5:

Appellants impugn order dated 01.04.2025; whereby the Writ Court has set aside the original order of punishment dated 11.09.2019 as also the appellate order dated 16.07.2021.

Learned counsel for the appellants submits that the Writ Court has erred in not permitting the appellants to proceed further with the inquiry and pass an appropriate order. He submits that the original order dated 11.09.2019 was set aside on the ground that hearing was conducted by one officer and the order was passed by another officer.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that after the impugned order was passed, a notice of hearing was received by the respondent for 25.06.2025 and respondent duly appeared and made his submissions, however, no final order has been passed by the adjudicating authority.

In view of the above, this appeal is disposed of directing the adjudicating authority to adjudicate the said issue as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 2 months from today.

It is clarified that this Court has neither considered nor commented on the merits of the contentions of either parties. All rights and contentions of the parties are reserved.
