RANCHI, India, Jan. 7 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 8:

1. I.A. No. 15913 of 2025 Heard Mr. Shubham Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned P.P.

2. This interlocutory application has been preferred by the appellant for condoning the delay of 16 days in filing of the instant appeal.

3. Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the instant interlocutory application, the same is allowed and the delay of 16 days in filing of this appeal is hereby condoned.

4. The aforesaid I.A. stands allowed and disposed of. Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1479 of 2025

5. This appeal is directed against the order dated 20.09.2025 passed in B.P. No. 1197 of 2025 in connection with A.H.T.U. Case No. 05 of 2025 by learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-XVII, Ranchi, whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

6. It has been alleged that five minor children were apprehended from Hatia Railway Station and one Jhulan Kumar were also arrested.

7. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant has been implicated only on account of the disclosure made by the victims, who were recovered by the police. It has further been submitted that co-accused Jhulan Kumar has been granted bail by a coordinate Bench of this Court vide Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1240/2025. It has also been submitted that appellant is in custody since 12.08.2025.

8. Learned P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

9. On consideration of the fact one of the co-accused has been granted bail, as stated above, apart from the manner of implication of the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 20.09.2025 passed in B.P. No. 1197 of 2025 arising out of A.H.T.U. Case No. 05 of 2025 by learned Additional Judicial Commissioner-XVII, Ranchi, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with A.H.T.U. Case No. 05 of 2025.

10. Accordingly, this appeal is allowed.
