RANCHI, India, Dec. 4 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 4:
This appeal is directed against the order dated 23.09.2025 passed in B.P. No. 309 of 2025 arising out of GRPS Barharwa (P.P Pakur) Case No. 19/2025) corresponding to Railway G.R. No. 44 of 2025 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that the appellant along with two minor children were apprehended by the police and in course of enquiry, the children had disclosed that they were being taken by the appellant for stitching purposes.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that charge sheet has already been submitted by the police. It has been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 14.07.2025. Learned counsel also adds that as per the allegation, the appellant was taking the children to Kolkata for stitching work which is not a hazardous work.
Learned Spl.PP has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.
On consideration of the fact that charge sheet has been submitted and the period of custody undergone by the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 23.09.2025 passed in B.P. No. 309 of 2025 arising out of GRPS Barharwa (P.P Pakur) Case No. 19/2025) corresponding to Railway G.R. No. 44 of 2025 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Pakur, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Railway Judicial Magistrate, Sahibganj in connection with GRPS Barharwa (P.P Pakur) Case No. 19/2025) corresponding to Railway G.R. No. 44 of 2025.
This appeal is allowed.
