JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SONA RAM RAJWAR V/S THE UNION OF INDIA AND ORS.

RANCHI, India, Dec. 5 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 5:

1. Heard the parties.

2. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have directed the petitioner to submit the Pension Payment Order, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Bank Passbook and Photographs vide letter dated 17.3.2025, Annexure-10, to this writ petition. It is his contention that the said direction was given in terms of order passed in CMP No. 918 of 2022, but no final order has been passed.

3. In view of the said submission, I direct respondent No. 2 to decide the claim of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. If the petitioner is entitled to receive any amount, the same should be disbursed to the petitioner within the said period. If the claim of the petitioner is rejected, the reason thereof should also be communicated to the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this petition stands disposed of.
