RANCHI, India, Sept. 2 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on July 1:

I.A. No. 8721 of 2025

Mr. D.K. Karmakar, learned counsel for the appellants is permitted to correct the provision of law as mentioned in the cause title of this interlocutory application during the course of the day.

This application has been preferred by the appellant for condoning a delay of 52 days in filing the appeal. Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the instant application, the same is allowed and a delay of 52 days in filling the appeal is hereby condoned.

I.A. No. 8721 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 749 of 2025.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 04.09.2024 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Ghatsila in M.C.A. No. 468/2024 in connection with Dhalbhumgarh (Gurabanda) P.S. Case No. 41/2005, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that a can bomb was recovered by the Police and the extremists were suspected to be involved in the same.

Mr. Karmakar, learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that the petitioner is named in the FIR, but his name has transpired only on the basis of the disclosure made by the informant. Learned counsel adds that the appellant is in custody since 27.07.2024.

Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the period of custody undergone by him, we, while setting aside the order dated 04.09.2024 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Ghatsila in M.C.A. No. 468/2024 in connection with Dhalbhumgarh (Gurabanda) P.S. Case No. 41/2005, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-I, Ghatsila in connection with Dhalbhumgarh (Gurabanda) P.S. Case No. 41/2005.

This appeal is allowed.
