RANCHI, India, March 8 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Feb. 6:

1. Heard the parties.

2. The counter-affidavit has been filed wherein the respondent has submitted that the payment has been made.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that still Rs.40,000/- has remained to be paid.

4. Considering the said submission, I direct the petitioner to file representation within four weeks before the District Land Acquisition Officer, Bokaro -respondent No.2 for payment of Rs.40,000/- which according to him is due. The respondents will consider his representation within six weeks as to whether actually that amount is legally payable to the petitioner or not.

5. If it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any amount, the same will be paid to him within four weeks thereafter.

6. If the claim of the petitioner is rejected, the reasons thereof should be communicated to the petitioner within the aforesaid period.

7. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
