RANCHI, India, Feb. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 13:

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Rajmahal P.S. Case No. 147 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 109(1), 103(1), 351(2), 352, 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of S.D.J.M., Rajmahal.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the F.I.R has been lodged against altogether ten accused persons and the allegation of inflicting fatal blow by sickle (Hasua) is against Rekha Bibi and not against this petitioner. It is further submitted that as per the F.I.R., the allegation against this petitioner is that he had attempted to assault the informant with sickle, but there is no corresponding injury on the informant from the said blow.

Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that all the accused persons had conjointly assaulted the deceased and the informant had also suffered simple injury.

Having considered the submissions advanced on behalf of both sides, it appears that the main assailant is Rekha Bibi.

Under the circumstance, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
