RANCHI, India, Feb. 10 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 9:

1. This civil miscellaneous petition has been filed for extension of time by three months in Title Suit No.57 of 2020 which was directed to be concluded within three months of the order passed by this Court on 16.09.2025 in C.M.P. No.861 of 2025.

2. Instant case has a long and chequred history in which the execution of final decree passed in Title (Partition) Suit No.251 of 1983 is under stay and therefore, considering the urgency of the matter, a long adjournment cannot be granted.

3. Having considered the submissions advanced on behalf of both sides, this Court is of the view that since only one witness is remaining to be examined on behalf of the petitioners/plaintiffs in the said suit, and the counsel appearing on behalf of the defendants/opposite parties undertakes to conclude their evidence within a month, the trial Court is directed to hear this suit on day to day basis. Both the sides will conclude their evidence and argument within a month of this order. After the said conclusion, the trial Court will pronounce the judgment.

4. It is clarified that no adjournment will be granted beyond one month to either of the parties. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners undertakes to conclude the evidence within a week and therefore, no further time beyond that will be granted by the learned trial Court to the Petitioners.

Civil Miscellaneous Petition stands disposed of. Pending Interlocutory Application, if any, is disposed of.
