RANCHI, India, April 9 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 9:
1. This bail application has been filed under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 65(1)/ 61(2), 75(2), 351(2) of BNS and under Sections 4(2), 8 of the POCSO Act.
2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order.
3. Learned AddI. P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.
4. It is alleged that petitioner has committed sexual offence against 12 years old girl.
5. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Special POCSO Case No.81 of 2025, arising out of Sakchi P.S. Case No.169 of 2025, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge, POCSO Act, Jamshedpur, stands rejected.
6. Accordingly, this bail application is dismissed.
