RANCHI, India, Feb. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 13:

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Pathargama P.S. Case No. 182 of 2023 (G.R. No. 1037 of 2025) for the offence registered under Sections 366-A of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of S.D.J.M., Godda.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is 21 years old and as per the statement of the victim girl, she had willfully left her home and solemnized the marriage with the petitioner and the case was lodged by the father of the victim girl.

Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the consent of the minor is immaterial.

Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
