RANCHI, India, Jan. 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 22:

Heard Mr. A.K. Chaturvedy, learned counsel for the appellant and learned Spl. P.P. for the State.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 19.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Latehar in Misc. Criminal Application No. 872/2025, arising out of Herhanj P.S. Case No. 17/2021, corresponding to G.R. No. 529/2025 (S.T. Case No. 131/2025), whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that two miscreants with arms and ammunitions and other articles were apprehended by the Police. These miscreants had subsequently disclosed the name of the appellant.

It appears that the appellant is in custody since 29.04.2025 and several of the co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court in Criminal Appeal (D.B.) No. 1840 of 2023, Criminal Appeal (D.B.) No. 1097 of 2022 and Criminal Appeal (D.B.) No. 1146 of 2025.

On consideration of the aforesaid facts, we while setting aside the order dated 19.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Latehar in Misc. Criminal Application No. 872/2025, arising out of Herhanj P.S. Case No. 17/2021, corresponding to G.R. No. 529/2025 (S.T. Case No. 131/2025), direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Latehar in S.T. Case No. 131/2025, arising out of Herhanj P.S. Case No. 17/2021, corresponding to G.R. No. 529/2025.

This appeal stands allowed.
