RANCHI, India, June 11 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 15:

1. Heard the parties.

2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Jainagar P.S. Case No. 210 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No.146 of 2025 for the offences registered under Sections 303(2), 334(2) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Koderma.

3. Submission has been made on behalf of the petitioner that the name of this petitioner surfaces in the present case in the confessional statement of the co-accused and thereafter, confessional statement of this petitioner got recorded and thereafter, he got remanded in as many as five other cases. Learned counsel stated at bar that prior to a present FIR, petitioner is having no criminal antecedent.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed that similarly situated co-accused person namely Dharmendra Verma @ Dharmendra Berma has already been admitted to bail by the co-ordinate bench of this Court in B.A. No.3174 of 2025. Upon aforesaid premise, prayer for grant of bail is made.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer of bail on the premise that theft has been committed of ornaments such as Bronze, Brass, Copper, Gold and Silver worth of Rs.12 Lakhs.

6. From record it transpires that FIR has been lodged against unknown and thereafter on the basis of the confession, this petitioner got apprehended in the present case and he is said to be in judicial custody since 31.01.2025 and charge sheet has already been submitted in this case.

7. Record further reveals that similarly situated other co-accused person namely Dharmendra Verma @ Dharmendra Berma has already been admitted to regular bail by a co-ordinate bench of this Court in B.A. No.3174 of 2025.

8. In the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand), with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned SubDivisional Judicial Magistrate, Koderma, in connection with Jainagar P.S. Case No. 210 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. Case No.146 of 2025.
