RANCHI, India, Dec. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 13:
1. Heard.
2. Issue regarding construction/non-construction of toilets in Barhait Block within Sahibganj District is already under investigation by an independent agency and the said fact find mention in a disposed of petition being W.P.(PIL) No. 2893 of 2022 decided on 23rd October, 2024 whereby the petition has been disposed of by observing as under:-
"4) In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, it appears that the main prayer of the petitioner with regard to investigation by an independent agency is now underway and even an inspection team for physical verification of Toilets has been constituted. It further transpires that since it is an old matter, they are facing practical difficulty. However, admittedly the enquiry with regard to the allegation made in this Public Interest Litigation is on; as such, we feel it proper to refrain ourselves from monitoring the investigation/enquiry. It is expected that the enquiry which is being conducted by the Anti Corruption Bureau, should reach a logical conclusion.
5) With the aforesaid observation, we don't wish to pass any further orders in this Public Interest Litigation and accordingly, the same is hereby disposed of."
3. It is expected that the enquiry which is being conducted by the AntiCorruption Bureau should reach a logical conclusion.
4. In that view of the matter, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by leaving it to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to enquire into the allegations leveled by the petitioner herein and take enquiry/investigation to its logical conclusion.
5. Pending Interlocutory Application, if any, stands disposed of.
