RANCHI, India, July 7 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on June 6:
Heard the learned counsel for the respective sides.
No objection has been filed by the State in spite of an order passed on 11.04.2025.
This appeal is directed against the order dated 06.03.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Sahibganj in B.P. No. 43 of 2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellants has been rejected.
It has been alleged that seven minor children were apprehended by the police and on being questioned, they disclosed that they are being carried to Gujarat via Ghaziabad for labour work by the appellants.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the appellants that the appellants are in custody since 06.02.2025.
Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellants.
Regard being had to period of custody undergone by the appellants, we while setting aside the order dated 06.03.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Sahibganj in B.P. No. 43 of 2025 direct the appellants be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Railway J.M., Sahibganj in B.P. No. 43 of 2025, arising out of GRPS Barharwa Case No. 07 of 2025, corresponding to Rly. GR Case No. 11 of 2025.
This appeal is allowed.
