RANCHI, India, Nov. 2 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 6:

1. Heard the parties.

2. Petitioners have been made accused in connection with S.T. No. 140 of 2025, arising out of Chhipadohar P.S. Case No.14 of 2020, corresponding to G.R. Case No.577 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 353, 387 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 27 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Latehar.

3. On 01.04.2020, Chhipadohar police on the basis of confidential information that some ultras had assembled in Ramandag forest area rushed to the place of occurrence. On seeing the police party, the ultras started firing on them. There was exchange of fire between both the sides, being overpowered, the ultras fled away.

4. It was submitted that though the petitioners are named in the F.I.R., but their names have transpired on the basis of confidential information. It was further submitted that co-accused Bimal Singh @ Kishor Jee and coaccused persons have been granted bail by Co-ordinate Bench of this Court as well as by this Court and the case of the petitioners stand on similar footing.

5. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, the petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each, with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Latehar, in connection with S.T. No. 140 of 2025, arising out of Chhipadohar P.S. Case No.14 of 2020, corresponding to G.R. Case No.577 of 2025.
