RANCHI, India, Aug. 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on June 23:

1. The instant revision petition has been preferred against the judgment dated 31.05.2024 passed in Original Maintenance Case No. 26 of 2021, whereby and whereunder, learned Additional Principal Judge, Additional Family Court-1, Ranchi has directed the petitioner to pay Rs. 5,000/- per month in favour of O.P. No.1 and Rs. 2,000/- per month in favour of O.P. No.2, his minor child under Section 125 of the Cr.P.C.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the maintenance, awarded, is excessive as the petitioner is working as a barber in the shop of his brother-in-law from where he is earning Rs.10,000/- as monthly income.

3. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of O.P. No.2 that neither any show cause was filed by the petitioner nor any evidence was led on his behalf to rebut the evidence that the petitioner was having a monthly income of Rs.1.5 Lakh per month from his business of Beauty Parlor. It has also come in the evidence that the petitioner had Beauty Parlor shop at two places i.e. Banaras and Ranchi.

Having considered the submissions advanced on behalf of both sides, I do not find any infirmity in the impugned order.

This revision petition stands dismissed.

Pending I.A., if any, stand disposed of.
