RANCHI, India, July 26 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on June 26:

1 The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner for the following reliefs:

i) For direction upon the respondents for confirmation of the service of the petitioner who has working since 01.05.1993 on adhoc basis as Peon selected after due process of law and the petitioner is having Service Book, GPF account, regular pay fixation [6th and 7th Pay Revision), similarly situated person namely Tarun Kanta Topno, Veena Gupta, Bal Govind Mahli, Sunil Kumar Rajak, Om Prakash, Judagi Choudhary, Kuber Kushwaha etc. services were confirmed by the Department, pursuant to the order of the Hon'ble High Court of Jharkhand from the date of their initial appointment.

ii) For direction upon the respondents to grant all consequential benefits to petitioner after confirmation of service of the petitioner who has working as Peon in the Department since 01.05.1993 on adhoc basis.

And/or

Pass such other Order or Orders as Your Lordships may deem fit to do proper and conscionable justice to the petitioner."

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that representation dated 24.04.2025 filed by the petitioner for confirmation of service of the petitioner has not been decided by the respondents. He submits that service of similarly situated other adhoc employees has been confirmed but till date the petitioner's service has not been confirmed. Accordingly, this case may be disposed of directing the concerned respondent to decide representation dated 24.04.2025.

3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that this case has been listed for the first time as such no instruction has been received.

4. Having regard to the aforesaid submissions and looking to the prayer made in the instant writ application, the same is hereby disposed of by directing the 3 rd Respondent to treat this writ application as representation and take a decision in the matter with regard to the claim raised in the writ application in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to serve a copy of this writ application to the 3 rd Respondent at the earliest so that his grievance can be redressed.
