RANCHI, India, June 4 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on April 4:
1. Heard the parties.
2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that possession of his land has been illegally taken by respondent Nos.6 to 16. The petitioner thus, has approached this Court for a direction upon the State to ensure removal of the aforesaid illegal occupation of respondent Nos.6 to 16.
3. The relief which the petitioner is claiming, cannot be granted in an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
4. If the possession of land of the petitioner has been taken by some private parties, the petitioner should approach the Civil Court of competent jurisdiction for the appropriate relief.
5. No relief can be granted under Article 226 of the Constitution, since this is a private dispute between the private persons. Thus, with a liberty to the petitioner to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief, this writ petition stands disposed of.
6. I.A. No. 3713 of 2026 also stand disposed of.
