RANCHI, India, Nov. 19 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 29:
1. Heard the parties.
2. Petitioners have been made accused in connection with Pratappur P.S. Case No. 141 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 140(1), 3(5) and 103(1) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the Court of learned SubDivisional Judicial Magistrate, Chatra.
3. On 14.12.2024 at about 7:00 P.M., son of the informant, namely, Vikash Kumar was abducted by the named accused persons and thereafter, he was found murdered.
4. It was submitted that the petitioners are not named in the F.I.R. It was further submitted that the informant is not eyewitness to the occurrence.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has submitted that on the basis of confession of the co-accused Vishwnath Bharti, murder weapon was recovered.
6. It appears from the impugned order that apart from confession of co-accused, there is no other material against the petitioners on record.
7. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. Accordingly, the petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each, with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Chatra, in connection with Pratappur P.S. Case No. 141 of 2024.
