RANCHI, India, June 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 27:

1. The petitioner apprehending his arrest in connection with Bodam P.S. Case No. 05 of 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 323/498A/313/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate 1 st Class, Jamshedpur, has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail.

2. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering that it is a case under Sections 323/498A/313/34 of the Indian Penal Code, the sentences for which are up to 7 years as well as keeping in view the guidelines laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of "Arnesh Kumar Vs. State of Bihar & Another reported in (2014) 8 SCC 273", particularly paragraph no.12 of the same, followed by the judgement rendered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of "Satender Kumar Antil Vs. Central Bureau of Investigation & Anr." reported in 2022 (10) SCC 51 as well as the observation made in the case of "Satender Kumar Antil Vs. Central Bureau of Investigation & Anr." reported in 2024 (9) SCC 198, without commenting on the merit of the present case, the petitioner is directed to appear and seek regular bail before the concerned Trial Court within four weeks, which shall be disposed of by the said Court in strict compliance of the guidelines laid down in the aforesaid cases.

3. The present anticipatory bail application is, accordingly, disposed of with the aforesaid observation and direction.
