RANCHI, India, March 2 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 30:
1. Heard, learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner prays for consideration of her claim for compassionate appointment on the ground that the mother-in-law of the petitioner who was the Aaganwadi Sevika died while working.
3. Admittedly, there is Rule which provides for grant of compassionate appointment to the daughter-in-law of the deceased-Aaganwadi Sevika.
4. It is also the case that the case of the petitioner is pending before the respondents i.e., the Child Development Project Officer, Palamu.
5. Considering the fact that there is a scheme which provides for compassionate appointment, I direct the Child Development Project Officer, Chhatarpur, Palamu to consider the application of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
7. Pending interlocutory application, if any, also stands disposed of.
