RANCHI, India, April 15 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 13: Heard Mr. Aditya Kr. Jha, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 20.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Dhanbad in B.P. No. 954/2025 in connection with Dhanbad G.R. P.S. Case No. 104/2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that the Police had recovered two minor children from Vasco Da Gama Express and the appellant as well as another co-accused were apprehended. It has been alleged that they were involved in human trafficking.

Submission has been advanced by learned counsel for the appellant that he works as a supervisor and is a contractual employee. It has further been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 15.10.2025 and charge sheet has been submitted by the Police.

Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 20.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Dhanbad in B.P. No. 954/2025 in connection with Dhanbad G.R. P.S. Case No. 104/2025 direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Railway Judicial Magistrate, Dhanbad.

This appeal is allowed.
