RANCHI, India, May 1 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 30:

1. The petitioner has prayed for the following relief.

"For issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate Writ/Order for quashing the Impugned Order dated 15.03.2025 passed by respondent No.3 (Annexure-4) in Mutation Case No:5006R-27 of 2024-25 whereby and whereunder the application filed by the Petitioner for mutation in respect of a piece of land measuring an area of 3.22 decimals, being portion of R.S.Plot No: 1242 under R.S. Khata No: 1 of Mouza-Kesaro within Nagri Police Station, Thana No:109 in the district of Ranchi has been rejected to the extent of "1.25" decimals of lands without mentioning any order in respect of the balance area of 1.97 decimals on extraneous ground; AND for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any appropriate writ/order commanding upon the respondent No:3 to pass appropriate order on the application dated 09.01.2024 (Annexure-3) filed by the Petitioner and within a specified period; And/Or for issuance of any such Writ(s)/Order(s)/Direction(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and for doing conscionable justice to the Petitioner."

2. From Annexure-4 it is clear that the application for mutation was rejected by the Circle Officer. The aforesaid order is appealable before Land Reforms Deputy Collector (L.R.D.C.), Ranchi. Thus, the petitioner should approach the L.R.D.C. by filing an appeal within a period of four weeks from today. He will take all the points available to him. The L.R.D.C. will after hearing the parties will pass a reasoned order on merits in relation to the mutation prayer made by the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order along with the memo of appeal.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
