RANCHI, India, April 24 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 24:

1. Heard the learned counsel representing the petitioner and the learned counsel representing the respondents.

2. The petitioner is challenging the order dated 28.05.2025 passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jamshedpur whereby he had given certain directions by way of interim measure in respect of holding elections in the Gurudwara. It is necessary to quote the aforesaid order:

Election to be held. Convener appointed is not proper. This is the complaint.

OP

Election as per constitution

Both parties present. And Central Gurudwara Committee also present. Based on submission of all 3 parties because of L&O, dispute elections to be conducted as per bye laws, under guardianship of central committee and fresh elections to be conducted. Central committee to appoint convener as per constitution (Central Gurudwara Mgmt. Committee, 1943). If need be mag. to be deputed only for L&O."

3. Thereafter it has been brought to the notice of this Court by referring to Annexure-B to the counter affidavit dated 08.07.2025 filed by the respondent no. 3 that the said proceeding has already been closed.

4. Since the proceeding has already been closed, nothing remains in this writ petition to be decided. Further according to both the parties elections have been held.

5. Any person aggrieved by the elections may approach appropriate Civil Court as per law.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
