RANCHI, India, March 8 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Feb. 6:

1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The description of land, as disclosed by the petitioner, is as follows :-

"Mouza - Kalimati (Jamshedpur), Khata No.90, Thana No.1163, Plot No.548, Area - 0.025 decimal, PS - Ghatshila, East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur)."

3. The petitioner is praying for settlement, but as per the report, the order, as contained in Annexure - 4 to the writ petition, suggests that it is a raiyati land. A raiyati land cannot be settled to any person.

4. In that view of the matter, I am not inclined to entertain the present writ petition. Accordingly, the same is, hereby, disposed of.

5. Pending interlocutory application, if any, stands disposed of.
