JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON GAURI DEVI V/S STATE OF JHARKHAND

RANCHI, India, Jan. 23 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 22:

1. After some argument, learned counsel for the appellant has sought for leave of this Court to withdraw the instant appeal since he has given undertaking to surrender, reason being that the prayer has already been rejected on earlier occasion vide order dated 01.03.2022 passed in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1501 of 2022.

2. Accordingly, the instant appeal being Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1556 of 2025 is dismissed as withdrawn and as such, disposed of.
