RANCHI, India, Dec. 30 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 1:

1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has taken back the brief, as such, he is not able to press this writ application.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the instant writ application has become infructuous in view of the fact that in light of the order passed by this Court, the then Vice Chancellor, Vinoba Bhave University vide Circular dated 06.10.2017, has directed the President/ Secretary of all the affiliated Colleges under Vinoba Bhave University to start the process for appointment of regular/ permanent Principal under the rules of the respective Colleges and accordingly, notice has been published way back on 08.01.2018. Learned counsel for the respondents further submits that the petitioner might have lost interest in this case in view of the fact that the writ application itself was filed for quashing the order whereby the petitioner was removed from the post of Incharge Principal of Rajganj Degree College, Dhanbad.

3. Having regard to the aforesaid submissions and specific averments made in para-10 of the supplementary counter-affidavit dated 15.12.2020, filed by respondent No. 3, it appears that the petitioner has lost interest in this case.

4. Accordingly, the instant writ application stands dismissed for non-prosecution.
