RANCHI, India, Feb. 8 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 8:
1. Heard Mr. Vikas Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and learned Spl.P.P.
2. This appeal is directed against the order dated 27.11.2025 passed in B.P. No.1495 of 2025, arising out of Rly. Bokaro P.S. Case No. 19 of 2025, by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi, whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.
3. It has been alleged that from a train, two minor children were apprehended and the appellant was also arrested.
4. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant appears to be the relative of both the children who were apprehended by the police. It has further been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 14.10.2025 and charge-sheet has been submitted by the police.
5. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. He however, on instruction, submitted that appellant does not have any criminal antecedent.
6. On consideration of the fact that both the victims have been recovered and charge-sheet has been submitted apart from the period of custody undergone by the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 27.11.2025 passed in B.P. No.1495 of 2025, arising out of Rly. Bokaro P.S. Case No. 19 of 2025, by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi, direct the appellant to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Railway Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi.
7. Accordingly, this appeal stands allowed and disposed of.
