RANCHI, India, June 24 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 27:

3. The present interlocutory application has been filed on behalf of the appellant for confirming the provisional bail granted to the petitioner by learned Sessions Judge, Garhwa in connection with Majhiaon P.S. Case No. 127 of 2015.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the conviction of the appellant vide impugned judgment dated 07.04.2025, the appellant was sentenced to undergo R.I. of two years along with fine of Rs.10,000/- under Section 324 of the I.P.C. and R.I. of two years along with fine of Rs.10,000/- under Section 353 of the I.P.C. He was also granted provisional bail on the said date till 06.05.2025 which was subsequently extended till 05.06.2025 vide order dated 06.05.2025. Hence, the provisional bail granted by the trial court may be confirmed by this Court during the pendency of the present appeal.

5. Having heard leaned counsel for the parties and on perusal of the impugned judgment dated 07.04.2025, the provisional bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 07.04.2025 and extended vide subsequent order dated 06.05.2025 is hereby confirmed.

6. I.A. No. 6108 of 2025 is disposed of.
