RANCHI, India, April 18 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 17:
1. Heard the parties.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner wants to remove/cut the Sal trees over his own land which is the nonforest land but the respondents are sitting tight over the application filed by the petitioner.
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State admits that the petitioner had applied before the appropriate authority but later on had withdrawn the application on 12.04.2025.
4. Considering the said submission, I am of the opinion that if the petitioner wants to file a fresh application, it will be open to the petitioner to do so before the competent authority. Once the same is filed, the respondents will take a decision and will communicate to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the said application.
5. With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
