RANCHI, India, July 3 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on June 3:

1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

2. The present application has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Complaint Case No.167 of 2024, registered for the offence under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned C.J.M., Koderma.

3. Innocence has been claimed by the learned counsel for the petitioner(s) and undertaking has been given for co-operating with the investigating agency and participation in the trial. It has been submitted that all the allegations are general and omnibus. Further, he wants to lead conjugal live with the complainant/wife with all love and dignity. On the above basis, prayer for anticipatory bail has been made.

4. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

5. Considering the above facts, the petitioner is granted privilege of anticipatory bail. Hence, in the event of his arrest or surrender within a period of six weeks from the date of this order, he shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Koderma in connection with Complaint Case No.167 of 2024, subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
