RANCHI, India, July 28 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on June 30:
1. In the instant writ application prayer has been made for show-causing the respondents as to why the selection of Home Guard in pursuance of Advt. No. 01/2023 (Annexure-1) has been made at Block Level instead of District Level particularly when the advertisement was issued at District Level and the constitution of the Selection Committee was changed during the midst of the selection process.
Petitioners have further prayed for consideration of their candidature for appointment to the post of Home Guard by filling-up the vacant seats against the Advt. No. 01/2023.
2. A counter-affidavit has been filed wherein at para-25 it has been stated that no any vacant seat is available in Chandwara Block of Koderma District and all the seats of Rural Home Guard for male have been filled-up.
3. Referring to para-25 of the counter-affidavit, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that instant application may be disposed of by observing that if any seat is still vacant, then their cases may be considered in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations.
4. Learned counsel for the respondents does not have any objection to the same.
5. Having heard the fair submissions of learned counsel for the parties, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by observing that if in future any seat would become vacant then the cases of petitioners will be considered in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations.
6. Accordingly, the instant writ application stands disposed.
