RANCHI, India, Feb. 9 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 9:

I.A. No.17085 of 2025

1. Heard Mr. Vishnu Prabhakar Pathak, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. This application has been preferred by the appellant for condoning the delay of 28 days in filing of this appeal. Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the instant application, the same is allowed and the delay of 28 days in filing this appeal is hereby, condoned.

3. I.A. No.17085 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Cr. Appeal (D.B.) No.1604 of 2025

4. This appeal is directed against the order dated 10.10.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Latehar in B.P. No.299 of 2025 in connection with Chandwa P.S. Case No.20 of 2020, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

5. It has been alleged that on a raid conducted by the police, one Jagdhari Ganjhu @ Jalendhar was apprehended with arms and ammunitions and other associates of the apprehended accused person managed to flee away.

6. Learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that the appellant has been implicated on the confessional statement of the apprehended accused person. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is in custody since 17.06.2025 and several similarly situated co-accused have been granted bail by this Court.

7. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

8. Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the fact that several similarly situated co-accused have been granted bail by this Court as noted above, we, while setting aside the order dated 10.10.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Latehar in B.P. No.299 of 2025 in connection with Chandwa P.S. Case No.20 of 2020, direct the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions JudgeIII, Latehar.

9. This appeal is allowed.
