RANCHI, India, Nov. 8 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 8:

I. A. No. 13548 of 2025:

Heard Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, learned P.P. for the State.

This interlocutory application has been preferred by the appellant for condoning the delay of 3 days in filing this appeal.

Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the application, the same is allowed and the delay of 3 days in filing this appeal is hereby condoned.

I. A. No. 13548 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1210 of 2025:

This appeal is directed against the order dated 08.08.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge I, Chatra in B. P. No. 497 of 2025 arising out of Kunda P. S. Case No. 16 of 2019 whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that an information was received by the police regarding planting of an IED bomb with an intent to cause damage to the police party. Subsequently, an inspection was made and the bomb was defused.

Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that so far as the implication of the appellant is concerned, the same has been on account of the disclosure made by the villagers. He further submits that nothing has been recovered from the possession of the appellant and the appellant is in custody since 30.01.2025.

Learned P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 08.08.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge I, Chatra in B. P. No. 497 of 2025, direct that the appellant above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra in connection with Kunda P. S. Case No. 16 of 2019.

This appeal is allowed.
