RANCHI, India, Jan. 6 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 5:

1. Heard Mr. Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, learned counsel for the appellant and learned APP for the State.

2. This appeal is directed against the order dated 29.07.2025 passed in Misc. Cr. Application No. 1225 of 2025 in ATS P.S. Case No. 04/2024 by the learned A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge-ATS, Ranchi whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

3. It has been alleged that the appellant was a member of the Aman Sahu Gang and threatened the Jail Superintendent. Based on the disclosure of the appellant, a raid was conducted in the house of Roshan who had confessed of terrorizing the Jail Superintendent.

4. Learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that the appellant has been implicated only on account of the CDR of the mobile of the appellant. It has further been submitted that several co-accused persons have been granted bail and the appellant is in custody since 14.07.2024.

5. Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant and while referring to the case-diary has submitted that transcripts of the phone recording of the appellant clearly reveals that the appellant was in touch with the other members of the Aman Sahu Gang and was instrumental in arranging money and the person who had fired at the Jail Superintendent.

6. In view of the specific role of the appellant as has come in course of investigation as one of the leading person who was involved in terrorizing the Jail Superintendent by virtue of his various acts which is revealed from the phone records, we are not inclined to admit the appellant on bail and consequently, the instant appeal stands dismissed.
