RANCHI, India, Nov. 2 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Oct. 6:

1. Heard the parties.

2. Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Panki P.S. Case No. 62 of 2025 corresponding to POCSO Case No. 56 of 2025 for the offences registered under Sections 64, 62, 76, 127(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023, Sections 8, 12 of the POCSO Act and Sections 3(1)(w)(i) and 3(1)(w)(ii) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge, POCSO, Palamau.

3. On 13.05.2025 at about 6.30 pm, the petitioner forced the victim to accompany him. On the way, the petitioner is alleged to have physically assaulted the victim.

4. The statement of the victim has been recorded under Section 183 of the B.N.S.S., in which, she has supported the prosecution case.

5. Attention has been drawn towards the evidence of the victim recorded during trial, in which, she has narrated a very different story from what has been alleged in the first information report and in her statement recorded under Section 183 B.N.S.S.

6. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, POCSO, Palamau, in connection with Panki P.S. Case No. 62 of 2025 corresponding to POCSO Case No. 56 of 2025.
