RANCHI, India, June 25 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on May 27:

1. The petitioner is accused for the offence punishable under Section 305 B.N.S., 2023.

2. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and has not committed any offence as alleged in the F.I.R. The brother of the petitioner (the pairvikar of this case) is owner of shop, namely Alka Jewellers, Chutia, Ranchi. The petitioner has been made scapegoat by co-accused Bishnu Kumar Sonar who is an employee in the said shop. There is alleged recovery of some of the stolen jewellery from the house of co-accused, namely, Bishnu Kumar Sonar who has already been granted regular bail by the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Seraikella vide order dated 21.04.2025 passed in B.P. No. 79 of 2025. There is no recovery of any stolen jewellery from the petitioner. The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with the present case since 12.03.2025. Hence, he may be given the privilege of regular bail. 2

3. Learned A.P.P. opposes the petitioner's prayer for regular bail submitting that he has criminal antecedent.

4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that the co-accused Bishnu Kumar Sonar has already been granted regular bail by the Sessions Court, Seraikella itself and the petitioner is in judicial custody since 12.03.2025, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

5. Accordingly, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Seraikella in connection with Adityapur P.S. Case No. 71 of 2025.
