RANCHI, India, Jan. 27 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Jan. 5:

Heard Mr. Vikas Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and learned Spl. P.P. for the State.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 29.11.2025 passed in B.P. No. 326 of 2025, arising out of Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 142 of 2025, by the learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

On a search conducted in the house of the appellant two girls aged 22 years and 15 years were recovered along with various other articles including several Aadhar Cards.

Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that so far as Polina Soren is concerned, who is aged 22 years she had gone to Delhi on an earlier occasion and she was intending to go to Delhi along with the other minor victim who happens to be a relative of Polina Soren. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is in custody since 10.09.2025 and she does not have any criminal antecedent.

Learned Spl. P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

On consideration of the period of custody undergone by the appellant and the fact that both the victims have been recovered as also the fact that so far as Polina Soren is concerned, she is a major and she regularly visits Delhi, we while setting aside the order dated 29.11.2025 passed in B.P. No. 326 of 2025, arising out of Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 142 of 2025, by the learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sahibganj in connection with Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 142 of 2025.

This appeal stands allowed.
