RANCHI, India, Dec. 25 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 25:

Heard the learned counsel for the respective sides.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 18.09.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Dhanbad in Bail Petition No. 779 of 2025, arising out of Dhanbad GRPS Case No. 74 of 2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that four children were intercepted from Vasco da Gama train and all the children had stated about the name of the present appellant and one Ekram Ansari of being involved in taking them to Karnataka and Chhattisgarh for the purposes of some work.

Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant is in custody since 07.08.2025. It has been submitted that all the children have been recovered and in fact, the mother of two children had sworn an affidavit stating therein that the appellant is related to them. It has also been submitted that the appellant does not have any criminal antecedent and charge-sheet has already been submitted.

Learned Spl.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

On consideration of the fact that all the victims have been recovered and the period of custody undergone by the appellant apart from the fact that charge-sheet has already been submitted, we while setting aside the order dated 18.09.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Dhanbad in Bail Petition No. 779 of 2025, arising out of Dhanbad GRPS Case No. 74 of 2025, direct the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Railway, Dhanbad in connection with Dhanbad GRPS Case No. 74 of 2025.

This appeal is allowed.
