RANCHI, India, Dec. 25 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Nov. 25:

Heard the learned counsel for the respective sides.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 15.10.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Dumka in Bail Petition No. 228 of 2025, arising out of Shikaripara PS Case No. 156 of 2021, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

It has been alleged that a vehicle was intercepted by the police and explosive substances were found in the present vehicle.

It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel for the appellant that the appellant has been implicated on the basis of a secret information as well as on the confession of co-accused Md. Akbar Qureshi. The learned senior counsel adds that the appellant is in custody since 06.08.2025 and one of the co-accused, who happens to be the lease holder of the vehicle in question has been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 875 of 2022.

Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

On consideration of the manner of implication of the appellant, we while setting aside the order dated 15.10.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Dumka in Bail Petition No. 228 of 2025, arising out of Shikaripara PS Case No. 156 of 2021, direct the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dumka in connection with Shikaripara PS Case No. 156 of 2021.

This appeal is allowed.
