RANCHI, India, Jan. 13 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 11:

Heard the learned counsel for the respective sides.

This appeal is directed against the order dated 12.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Latehar in Misc. Criminal Application No. 812 of 2025 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 101 of 2024 arising out of Balumath P.S. Case No.181/2021, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected.

On a raid conducted in the forest by the police one Pradeep Kumar Ganjhu @ Prabhat Jee was apprehended with some incriminating materials.

Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant has been implicated on the confession of the coaccused. It has been submitted that several of the co-accused persons have been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 416 of 2024, Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 1020 of 2024 and Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 97 of 2025. Learned counsel submits that the appellant is in custody since 16.06.2025.

Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.

Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the fact that several of the co-accused persons have been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court, as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 12.11.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Latehar in Misc. Criminal Application No. 812 of 2025 in connection with Sessions Trial No. 101 of 2024 arising out of Balumath P.S. Case No.181/2021, direct that the appellant be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Latehar in connection with Sessions Trial No. 101 of 2024 arising out of Balumath P.S. Case No.181/2021.

This appeal is allowed.
