India, April 20 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

The Institute of Legislative Drafting and Research has developed the third basic course to provide training in basic drafting in Hindi under the policy of Government of India , aimed at training officials of State Governments / UTs to develop legislative drafting capacity in Hindi and give priority to legislative drafting in Hindi .​​​​​​​​​​​​ In this context , the Institute of Legislative Drafting and Research ( ILDR ) under the auspices of the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice is conducting the third one month basic course for training in basic drafting in Hindi at Legislative Training Hall , Karttavya Bhawan - 2 , New Delhi .​​​  

The third basic course was inaugurated by Dr Manoj Kumar , Additional Secretary and Director of Curriculum ( ILDR ) , Dr. KV Kumar , Additional Secretary , Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh , Joint Secretary and Legislative Advisor , Shri Ashwani , Joint Secretary and Legislative Advisor , Shri Pundarik Sharma , Editor , Dr. Sudha Choudhary , Deputy Legislative Advisor , Shri Krishna Kumar Sharma , Deputy​​​​​​​​​​​ Legislative Counsel and other senior officials of the Legislative Department were also present .

The course incorporates practical training in addition to the theoretical aspects of legislative drafting .​​​ Officials from five Ministries / Departments of the Government of India and three State Governments - Chhattisgarh , Bihar and Uttarakhand are participating in this training programme . The program is designed to strengthen contemporary legislative drafting skills .​​​​​ Also , this course places special emphasis on legislative drafting in plain language , so that legislative provisions become more accessible , comprehensible and easily understandable to the general public .​​​​​​​​​​​
