GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SANDEEP BAIDYA AND 24 ORS. V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM AND 4 ORS

GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 22 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 22:

Heard Mr. H.K. Mahanta, learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P(C) No. 3601/2024 and Ms. T Wapangla, learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P(C) No. 3725/2024.

Mr. S Dutta, learned Standing counsel, P&RD submits that an affidavit has been filed in W.P(C) No. 3601/2024 and the same will also cover the stand of the department in respect of W.P(C) No. 3725/2024.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in W.P(C) No. 3725/2024 however submits that the copy of the said affidavit not been served.

Accordingly, the learned Standing Counsel, P&RD undertakes to serve extra copies of the affidavit filed on the learned counsel for the petitioner representing W.P(C) No. 3725/2024 within the course of the week.

Let the matter be listed again on 11.11.2025.

Interim order passed in W.P(C) No. 3725/2024 shall continue till the next date fixed.
