GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON PHANIDHAR PEGU V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, Aug. 18 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on July 18:

1. Heard Mr. B. Boragohain, learned counsel for the petitioner who submits that in this case, the charge-sheet has already been laid and the petitioner has received summons from the Trial Court. He also submits that the petitioner was granted interim bail by this Court on 19.05.2025 and in pursuant to the direction of this Court he has appeared before the Investigating Officer and has co-operated in the investigation.

2. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the interim bail granted to the petitioner by order dated 19.05.2025 is hereby made absolute.
