GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON HERAMBA PRASAD CHOUDHURY AND ANR V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 25 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 27:

1. Heard Ms. J. Das, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

2. Case diary has not been received.

3. It appears that the present bail petition is pending for case diary since 24.05.2025 on which day, the petitioners were also granted interim pre-arrest bail.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners points out that the elapse of considerable time between the alleged incident and the filing of the FIR constituting several months.

5. The investigating officer shall send the case diary positively on the next date fixed.

6. Interim order passed on 24.05.2025 stands extended till the next date of listing.

7. List on 06.11.2025.
