GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON FATIMA BEGUM MAZUMDAR V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM AND 6 ORS

GUWAHATI, India, July 2 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on June 2:

None appears for the petitioner on call.

In terms of the Lawazima Court's orders dated 09.12.2021, dated 28.05.2024 & dated 04.02.2025, none did appear for the petitioner before it. Perused the Lawazima Court's order dated 21.05.2025, which goes to show that the petitioner has not taken any steps since January, 2025 for service of notices upon the respondent Nos. 5 & 7 in their proper addresses by registered post with A/D as well as by usual Court process.

In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution and for want of steps, the interim order passed earlier is hereby vacated.
