GUWAHATI, India, June 23 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on May 23:
Mr. R.K.D. Choudhury, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India has submitted that the Central Government is not in receipt of any recommendation of the State Government for sanctioning three new Anganwadi Centres under Rongajan and Kharikotia Revenue Villages in Jorhat district, namely, Rongajan 3 No. Line and Jangle Line; Rongajan 5 No. Line; and Kharikotia 10 No. Ward.
By the next date of hearing, Mr. D.K. Sarmah, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam shall file an affidavit to this effect that recommendation for sanctioning the above-referred three new Anganwadi Centres has already been sent to the Central Government.
The respondent State is also directed to file affidavit in PIL 72/2024 by the next date of hearing. List the matters after two weeks.
