GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON ARCHANA DEB V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM AND 6 ORS

GUWAHATI, India, Sept. 25 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Aug. 26:

Heard Mr. R. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Kaushik, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent No. 5, District Elementary Education.

It is submitted at the bar that though this matter is listed under the column "For referral to the Special Mediation Drive-Mediation for the Nation", no purpose would be served by referring the matter to the mediation centre.

Accordingly, it is provided that the Registry shall list this matter for admission hearing on 15.10.2025.

In the meantime, the respondent authorities may file the affidavit-in-opposition.
