GUWAHATI, India, Aug. 18 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on July 18:
Heard Mr. M. I. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. K. Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State respondent.
It is submitted by Mr. Baishya, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, that the updated Case Diary along with the Medical Report was called for; however, the same has not yet been received to date.
In this regard, Mr. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 have been arrested during the pendency of the case, and hence, the petition in respect said petitioners has become infructuous. Pursuant to the order dated 02.06.2025, petitioner Nos. 3, 4, and 5 have already been granted the privilege of interim pre-arrest bail and after obtaining the same, they have appeared before the Investigating Officer and cooperated in the investigation. However, no interim order has been granted to petitioner No. 6.
Considering the submissions of learned counsels for both sides, list the matter on 11.08.2025.
Till then, the interim order granted on 02.06.2025 in respect of petitioner Nos. 3, 4, and 5 shall be extended.
