GUWAHATI, India, July 29 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on June 30:
1. Heard Mr. N.J. Daimari, the learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. J. Handique, the learned SC, Revenue appearing on behalf of State respondent no. 1 and Ms. M. Bhattacharjee, the learned Additional Senior Government Advocate for respondent nos. 2 & 3.
2. This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for nonimplementation of the eviction notice dated 16.06.2025 issued by respondent no. 5 to respondent no. 4 to vacate the said plot of land.
3. Issue Notice to respondent nos. 4 & 5 through registered post with A/D as well as usual process.
4. Steps to be taken within 2/3 days.
5. No formal notice is required to be served to respondent nos. 1, 2 & 3 as the respective counsel have already entered appearance. However extra requisite copy of the petition be served to them during the course of the day.
6. List accordingly immediately after the ensuing vacation as on a date to be fixed by the Registry.
